Manchester United 2 Blackburn Rovers 3

A disastrous result that has left United’s attempt to top the league in tatters after losing at HOME against the team last in the league! A makeshift side was put out by Sir Alex Ferguson, 70 years old today, due to the raft of injuries the team is suffering from. Dimitar Berabtov gave away a cheap penalty when he pulled Samba down in the box and Yakubu put the ball past De Gea, back in the side after two games, and he later put a shot under the legs of the Spanish keeper for Rovers’ second. De Gea had his worst game in a United short today as a very weak jump for a crossed ball led to the Hanley scoring Blackburn’s third. United by then had brought the scores back to 2-2 after Berbatov scored his 5th and 6th goals in three matches and United were rampaging forward on both flanks. De Gea’s flimsy goalkeeping let us down badly today though the second Rovers goal was a travesty of errors ranging from Carrick to Phil Jones. SAF needs to spend as this United squad is the weakest in a long time. Anderson came back from injury but the list goes on and on and on! Furthermore Rooney was left out of the squad in dubious circumstances, rumours flow…
