    Thanks for showing us Normandy and the historical sites. I have a great interest in military history myself. Me and the wife were going to go to France this year, but we made other plans, so it’s for next year. We’re also planning for Waterloo in 2015. That will be quite something.

    I live near some historical battlefields and I often go there for peace and quiet. There’s nothing like standing on the hallowed grounds where fates of nations were decided and men struggled, bled and died for what they believed in. It makes one look upon one’s own place in history a little bit different.

    Have a really nice trip! And no, the French won’t spit in your food, only at McDonald’s. 😀
